Duration:  12 Months

Oracle DBA must have good background in Oracle (10g, 11g) database support, export/imports, building/configuring databases, Backup & recovery (RMAN) & OMS are good fits.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Oracle 10g/11g experience in Development, QA & Production environments

Oracle DBA with database design, development & support

Experience with Data Architecture

Oracle Data Pump

Oracle database performance & tuning (AWR reports, explain plans, 10G Advisors)

OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager)

Grid Control

SQL Loader

SQL Plus

DDL

Data Modeling (with DB Artisan, ER Studio, Erwin, Power Designer)

SQL & PL/SQL tuning

Backup & Recovery tools (RMAN, SQL Backtrack, TSM/Tivoli)

Oracle RAC (on Red Hat Linux preferred)

Expertise in the UNIX environment (HP, SUN)

UNIX shell scripting (a must)

Red Hat Linux experience

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

Sybase experience

PeopleSoft experience

Oracle certifications
