Direct Client Req: Senior Business Objects Developer/Lead

Solution IT Inc. is looking for an Senior Business Objects Developer/Lead for one of its clients  in NEW YORK CITY NY.

 

Job Title   

Senior Business Objects Developer/Lead

Responsibilities

·         Design, coordinate and build Business Objects universes (flexible, functional, business perspectives of data), classes and objects; create cardinalities, contexts, joins and aliases.

·         Assist in activities around data architecture standards and documentation; lead and participate in design review sessions; testing and post-deployment activities including data accuracy validation

·         Analyze system requirements, identify and map data elements back to source systems while working within the context of existing data schemas and ultimately designing system interfaces

·         Work with cross functional Business and IT teams data modelers, ETL Developers, DBAs and Project Managers during all SDLC phases

·         Supervise Business Objects Developers; assign and review work

·         Ensure Business Objects Enterprise content security. Manages security authentication of users and groups; interacts and synchronizes with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol using TCP/IP for data access) to enable secure access to objects within particular universes

·         Build effective partnerships with business teams and provide onsite support ensuring maturity of capabilities roadmap and successful implementation and adoption of technology solutions

·         Establish a sustainable documentation methodology and process surrounding new reports/dashboards builds and changes to existing

·         Build thorough reports/dashboards user documentation to include filters/metrics/attributes (and associate with Source System)

Required Skills

·         7+ years of hands-on experience in Business Objects and data warehouses (Teradata/SQL Server/Oracle).

·         Strong understanding of Dimensional & Relational Data models. Ability to create the BO Universe(s) by connecting to custom applications & Data Marts.

·         Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and principles

·         Extensive knowledge of the methods, procedures and techniques of business object development

·         Data analytical experience using SQL and/or other data-mining tools

·         Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple groups and levels in organization

·         Excellent problem solving and decision making ability

·         Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to interact with all levels of management

·         Bachelors in Computer Science, MIS or related degree

Qualifications Desired

·         Minimum of 3 years' implementation experience with Media/ Entertainment BI systems

·         Experience as Business Objects Architect is a big plus

·         Knowledge of Tableau and Xcelsius

·         Experience creating Cubes

·         SAP BO certified / Teradata certified
