Skills MUST have:
.NET Technology Suite, Map/Web Services, GIS/Geospatial processing tasks, DB Programming & GUI, Server Security (proxy, user/access), Oracle PL/SQL, C# .Net, Siverlight, ESRI GIS product Suite version 9.x - 10.x
Skills nice to have:
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Understanding of the Esri ArcGIS Suite of products
• Familiarity with basic User Interface and User Experience principles
• Understanding of web standards and web services
• Ability to gather, define, and document requirements in highly dynamic environments
• Ability to prioritize, plan and organize activities and develop realistic action plans and schedules.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and ensures quality.
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to work with Business Analysts and Business Functional Support Team to turn requirements into production quality software components within a fixed period of time
• Ability to operate with little supervision, and operate autonomously
• Knowledge of industry leading GIS technologies (Esri, Google, Bing, etc?)
• Experience developing with modern web UI frameworks (JavaScript, Silverlight, Flex, etc.)
• Experience developing service-based software endpoints that can be utilized within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, location based services or similar
• Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including SOA, web services, and cloud technology
• Experience with IT security concepts such as SSL/TLS, tokens, and PKI
AKA-Systems / Software Engineer - Develop and enhance applications based on specifications. Codes and tests according to design specifications. Skilled in coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. Unit test applications and develops system and user documentation.Some responsibility over other developers with less experience. LEVEL 5 Requirements: Typically requires BA/BS or equivalent and 10+ years of related and progressively more responsible experience. Leads on the formulation and application of strategy. Applies the highest level of management and leadership skills. Has a deep understanding of the IT industry and the implications of emerging technologies for the wider business environment. Has a full range of strategic management and leadership skills. Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas with their impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. Has a broad and deep subject matter knowledge. Has authority and responsibility for all aspects of a significant area of work, including policy formation and application. Is fully accountable for actions taken and decisions made, both by self and subordinates.
