The Application Developer provides support of production applications by trouble shooting issues, and developing, testing and migration of solutions. Has a strong understanding of the business processes and application functionality relevant to their area
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems.
• Authors Technical Designs (TDs) that define how a functional design will be technically enabled.
• Ensures that standards and policies are adhered to.
• Develops and unit tests application programs as specified in Technical Designs.
• Provides production support of applications in production by trouble shooting issues, proposing solutions, develops and tests fixes, and migrates solution.
• Create and maintain database storage structures and objects.

 
SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree required; Software Engineering, or Computer Science degree preferred; advanced degree is desirable.
• Must have Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) background.
• Strong Java development skills (Spring Framework and Hibernate Framework).
• Solid markup skills (HTML/XHTML/CSS), with a preference for familiarity & experience with CSS3 / HTML 5 technologies.
• Experience with dynamic presentation technologies – JavaScript / jQuery.
• Experience with asynchronous communication technologies such as AJAX.
• Automated unit testing and mock testing experience in TestNG or JUnit.
• Strong critical thinking and problem analysis skills.
• Experience in Agile development environments (i.e. Scrum).

Skills: Must have Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) background,Solid markup skills (HTML/XHTML/CSS), with a preference for familiarity & experience with CSS3 / HTML 5 technologies.
