Position: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 9 months

Rate: $50/hr C2C

 

Responsibilities

- Developer of high-availability, Java/J2EE application - Responsibilities include:

- Supporting the full SDLC in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities

- Acting as central Java/J2EE programmer in IBM HTTP Server 8.x, WAS 8.x, and MQ messaging environment

- Following risk-based, customer-centric development approach, including SOX/PCI compliance

- Triaging/Resolving production issues in a large, multi-tier, enterprise environment

- Assisting triage of downstream and upstream systems in production and lower level environments

- Documenting low level design and production control information

- Representing application on project meetings as fully knowledge gable developer

- Preparing oral and written project status updates to project team

- Estimating workload impacts of new feature requests

 

Required Skills

- 5-7+ years' experience developing Java/J2EE applications in a large enterprise, real-time, fully redundant, high-availability environment

- Proficient in the following technologies: Java, Web Services, IBM HTTP Server 8.x, WAS 8.x, and MQ.

- Strong written/oral communication skills
