Title: Project manager/BA (Fixed Income and Security Industry)

Location: Stamford, CT

Duration: 3-6 Months+ Possible extension

The position is for a Project Manager/Business Analyst hybrid working in the IT-Operations area of RBS Markets Americas.  This department supports mid-office and back-office functions of the firm. 

 

Specific Position Description

The role is a contract position.  We are seeking a PM/BA to join an existing project tasked with centralization of Security Reference Data onto a global platform.   The applicant will work with a team of 3 US developers, the US Reference Data department, and the global Securities Data team (London and India) to centralize the security Reference Data held in the US onto the global platform. 

The applicant should be able to analyze and reconciles securities data between the two systems so as to identify common elements and identical securities.   This will require working with the London/India global team and the local Reference Data department.    The applicant will be responsible for project planning, coordination, and any deliveries of these projects. Strong analytical and organizational skills are necessary, as well as knowledge of Fixed Income securities (including Government, MBS and Corporates).

Minimum Requirements

.       Professional experience in either Project Management or Reference Data.

.       Basic SQL skill.

.       Ability to interface with the users, and gather specifications and translate

        these specifications into update technical requirements.

.       Written communications skills.

.       Knowledge of the Securities Industry and Fixed Income processing.

.       Knowledge of Bloomberg security data a plus.

.       Ability to read simple programs a plus.

 

General Responsibilities of the team

 

.               Design and implementation of multi-tiered applications and reporting systems that are used by Operations globally.

.               Enhance and support an existing proprietary system which manages the books and records globally.

.               Develop and maintain trade processing and other workflow related applications.

.               Work closely with business users and other IT staff to test and roll out new and enhanced applications.
