World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Windows Build Engineer to support our Consulting Services - East team located in Omaha, NE. This position will be focused on…

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership to deploy technology solutions. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project. Position will be responsible for installing and supporting Windows 2008 and associated applications. Performs additional job duties as required. Leads complex projects and issues within functional technical area and cross functional area Works independently with IT functional units and business units. Recommends strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements, with a focus on Windows Server Systems.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experienced in-depth knowledge in installing and configuring Windows server 2008; Windows Tunables,  server hardware, and installation processes; Windows Active Directory Domain Services; Windows DNS server; Windows patching processes and validation; Installing Physical and Virtual Windows 2008 servers; Proficient in VMware ESX\Virtualization Technologies (ESX 5.0 or greater, Virtual Center, P2V tools); Knowledge of the application and utilities of Windows server 2008; Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols,  scripting, automation; Understanding of MS Server Roles; Deep working knowledge of NFS and NAS storage systems; Working in a secure/locked down Windows Server Environment; Knowledge of Group Policy; Windows PowerShell; Terminal Services and RDP expertise a must; Understands complex technical requirements, service impact, and business issues facing internal and external clients; 3+ years related Server administration experience, over 3 of it specific to supporting. General IT experience required; • Strong team player; Must be able to install and support Windows Systems in a SQL environment; Must be able to install and support Windows  Systems in IIS environment; Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; strong background with backup systems, both hardware and software is required. Experience with Symantec Netbackup. Familiarity with SAN-based and IP-based backup solutions.
