Years of Experience: 10+ Years

Job Location: Savannah, GA
Duration: 4 Months

No. of positions: 5

Job Description:

Installation and knowledge of default directory structure.

Knowledge of various run levels

Using commands like vi, cat, touch for creating files.

Use of command like grep, wc, etc.

Knowledge of various Logs, their location and  importance

Starting/Stoping the services in RHEL 3,4,5

User Administration (Add/modify/delete/lock/unlock)

Knowledge of various utility like mkfs, sar, logrotate etc.

Creation/Mounting/Unmounting File Systems

Knowledge of various fields in /etc/fstab file

Default file permissions

Manage Print Queues

Various Methods of OS Deployment (Disk, Kickstart, HTTP, FTP, NFS, Remote console)

Knowledge of different shells available in UNIX.

Various Methods of OS Deployment (Disk, Kickstart, HTTP, FTP, NFS, Remote console)

Knowledge of various boot method, netboot, NFS, PXE etc

Knowledge of various disk based file-systems (ext2/ext3/jfs)

Knowledge of nework based file-systems (NFS)

SSH and GPG keys knowledge

Knowledge of Volume Manager LVM

Knowledge of Various Raid Configuration (RAID 0/1/5/0+1/1+0)

Filtering the access using IP Tables

Management and Troubleshooting of atleast one Centralised Authentication Service (NIS, NIS+, LDAP)

Knowledge of Online/Offline backup methods using native utilitis.

Advance Scripting (Bash, sed, awk and perl)

Deployment of atleast one Centralised Authentication Service (NIS, LDAP)

Advance troubleshooting skills
