Role: .Net /Mainframe developer in WI

Location : Madison, WI
Duration : 36 months

 

DESCRIPTION:

Application system development and support activities. Assignment in a state-wide mainframe COBOL/CICS/DB2 environment and .Net/Oracle environment supporting the State Unemployment Insurance systems. This position will assist DWD applications development staff support mainframe and client-server/web systems. Candidates must have proven experience and understanding of the full system development life-cycle of applications development. Candidates should have experience with both mainframe applications development (DB2/COBOL) and web/client-server apps development (VB or C#.Net). Very strong analytical skills ARE REQUIRED. Successful candidates must also have an excellent understanding of problem resolution and testing. This position will function as part of the applications development support team, and will get direction from project managers within the unit. The successful candidates must have excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent 'people skills'. Only proven candidates will be considered.
