Software Engineer (Java/JavaScript/MySQL)

Location: Dublin OH

Length: 6 Months +

 

Description:

As a software developer, you will be working with Java and MySQL on the back-end to expose a RESTful  JSON-based API and service-oriented architecture to power client-side applications built with JavaScript frameworks and HTML5 to create robust, responsive applications for browsers and mobile devices. You will be working with a highly collaborative, dynamic team following an Agile/Scrum development methodology and a Lean Startup approach to Customer Development.

 

Must haves:

•             JavaScript framework such as Ember.js, Backbone.js, or AngularJS

•             J2EE technologies (Java/Jersey/Jackson/Maven/Hibernate)

•             MySQL database development

 

Qualifications:

•             Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Ember .js, Backbone.js, AngularJs, or Dojo Toolkit

•             J2EE technologies (Java/Jersey/Jackson/Maven/Hibernate)

•             Service oriented architecture using JSON-based RESTful web services

•             HTML5, CSS3

•             Experience with MySQL database server configuration and maintenance

•             5+ years experience in MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database development

•             Strong experience writing SQL queries and tuning queries for optimization for both MySQL and SQL Server

•             Monitoring, tuning, query optimization, backup and recovery of MySQL database systems

•             Provide technical leadership in SQL Server / MySQL development

•             Design and develop schemas, indexes, queries, and stored procedures for both SQL Server and MySQL

•              Apache/Tomcat

•             SUSE Linux

•             Agile/Scrum software development methodologies

•             Lean Startup methods of innovation, validated learning, build-measure-learn cycle

•             Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)

•             Healthcare IT areas such as claims processing, EDI transactions, HL7, Consolidated CDA, CCR, CCD, EMR and PM systems, HIPAA
