Role: Technical QA/Tester (Web/Mobile/device/database)
Location: Omaha, NE
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 9 to 12 months
Job Description:
The person will assist the current QA Lead in performing various testing and validation activities. The person needs to have a good knowledge of testing web applications, mobile applications, and device interface applications. They should have a good overall understanding of technology (not a developer level knowledge).
Background:
1. 6+ Years as a QA/Tester/Technical Troubleshooter
2. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
3. Experience working with offshore development teams
4. Good Communication, Interpersonal, and client interaction skills
5. Knowledge of production support, help desk, trouble shooting
Responsibilities:
1. Testing of web applications, mobile applications, & device interface applications
2. Research the issues and figure out the possible cause of the error
3. Perform basic database queries to validate data
4. Perform cross-browser testing and browser compatibility verification
5. Log the issues in TFS and work with offshore development team to resolve issues
6. Test/Support production applications
Technical Skills:
1. Knowledge of logging issues in TFS
2. Knowledge of Basic SQL Queries and database operations
3. Knowledge of testing web applications on various browsers
4. Knowledge of testing iOS and Android Native Apps
5. Overall understanding of technology (not a pure functional tester)
6. Ability to troubleshoot issues at a high level
Overall, a technology aware, smart, go-getter with initiative and good communication and interpersonal skills that can jump in and try to figure things out without too much guidance.
