Job Title               : .Net Developer

Location               : Providence, RI

Duration              :  12 months

Citizenship Status:   US Citizen preferred; Green Card will be considered

                                               

Need 5 NET Developers. Only candidates who can be work 100% on site in Providence, RI will be considered.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Provide daily support to existing web & windows applications.

·         Participate in the full life cycle of development (define, develop, test, install, and maintain) of existing applications as well as new initiatives.

·         The Web Developer must be able to manage development activities from the planning phase through the implementation phase.

·         Position will require participation in the design and planning of enhancements to existing applications and development of new applications.

·         Interface with other team members, management, and end-users on a regular basis.

 

Job Description: Experience in the following areas is required:  MUST HAVE

 

·         Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010 (ASP.Net, VB.Net, Web Services, Java Script, AJAX and CSS)

·         .Net Framework 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0

·         Visual Studio Team Foundation 2010

·         Skilled in developing and consuming WCF services.

·         SQL Server 2005 and 2008 developer level understanding

·         SQL Server Integration Services 2008

·         SQL Server Management Studio 2005 and 2008

·         SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 and 2008

·         LINQ \ Entity Framework

·         XML \ XSLT \ XPath

·         Exposure to Enterprise Library 5, Patterns & Practices.

·         Application Modeling

·         Proficient in Database concepts and Data modeling

·         Highly self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently as well as in a team

·         environment;

·         Capability to perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and

·         support of complex applications and processes.

·         Assist in preparing effort and duration estimates associated with systemic enhancements.

·         Meet standards associated with specification development, coding, code review, unit and integration

·         testing, and related documentation.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and strong organizational skills

·         Capability to work independently and within a team

 

Optional Skills:

 

·         Experience in the following areas would be a Plus:

•       Prior experience migrating from classic asp to asp.net

·         Exposure to design tools like Visio \ EA.

•       XML Processing

•       SMTP Interfaces

•       Understanding of Networking

•       Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS - Windows Communication Foundation )

·         Public Sector Experience
