Role: Informatica Developer

Location: Calabasas, CA

Contract:  6 months plus

Skype technical and client interview required.

 

 

 

Requires experience with Informatica Cloud Services

 

Primary responsibilities:

• Interface with internal and external business leaders to gather ETL/ELT requirements.

• Present ETL/ELT strategies to business stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and refine our ETL strategy, building a data management environment that allows our data scientists and analysts to provide meaningful information to the     business leaders. 

• Lead efforts to develop ETL solutions using Informatica's PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud Services.

• Be "hands on" in the development of Informatica/PowerCenter ETLs.

• Maintain and monitor Informatica's PowerCenter server in a Windows environment.

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Informatica Cloud Services.

• Respond to and solve technical problems related to the PowerCenter and ICS processes.

• Provide direction, guidance, and training to the ETL engineering team.

 

Experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 8-10 years of Informatica ETL development and administrator experience

• Expert knowledge of Informatica version 8.5 and above; Informatica version 9.x preferred

• Experience in successfully designing, deploying, evolving, and developing standards for ETL solutions in the Informatica space

• Expertise in the tuning and troubleshooting of Informatica mappings, sessions, and workflows

• Experience with applying patches/upgrades/HotFixes to the server side of Informatica's PowerCenter

• Experience using SQL Server as a target and a source

• Experience administrating PowerCenter in a Windows environment

• Experience using Informatica cloud services and third-party data connectors

• Experience using Informatica to connect to web services

• Knowledge of dimensional modeling (e.g., Kimball, Inmon, etc.), including knowledge of slowly changing dimensions, historic data capture, error capturing, and reporting

• Experience in developing processes to promote and deploy Informatica ETLs
