Job Title: QA Tester (Manual)
Location: Stamford, CT
Duration: 3 months
F2F Required
The position is for a QA Tester working in the Legal and Compliance Technology area to contribute to the Rules mapping initiative and other ongoing work streams related to compliance risk. The applicant is expected to be self-motivated, individual contributor and dedicated to a high level of customer service. Three or more years of testing experience in the Securities industry and familiarity with manual testing and test artifact.
Responsibilities-
Understanding of testing concepts and deliverables
Serve as a single point of contact for all testing activities on a project. Creates and manage Testing Strategy, Test Scenarios, Test Plans, Test completion results
Assess and forecast Test Levels of Effort
Personable with good communication skills
Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects
Provides specific guidance on defects to the team
Lead and review test plans written by others
Performs more complex analysis of business requirements and system specifications
Organized and structured
Delivery focused
Successful track record working under pressure and to deadlines
Essential Experience -
3+ years of experience in all aspects of SDLC
3+ years of experience in manual testing and databases
3+ years of experience in creating and managing test deliverables
Coordinating with teams spread across different geographical locations and prepare stakeholder presentations
Useful Additional Skills-
Experience in Legal and Compliance area of financial services industry
Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, SYBASE
Good understanding of Investment products and regulation
Position Comments: The ideal candidate should have a fundamental understanding of manual testing and validation related to SDLC. The successfully sourced candidate will be testing a UI workflow from Market Risk related product. This person should have enough testing experience to be self sufficient with exposure up to an including the writing of the test cases.
