       Location: Reston, Virginia  , LOCALS , Face To Face

       Start date:   ASAP

       Duration:   6 + month contract

Job Description:

To qualify for the Java / J2EE developer role, you should have 6-8 years of experience in end to end software development lifecycle in enterprise applications development.

 

Required Skills

• Java/J2EE technologies including Core Java, JMS, Servlets, etc.

• J2EE EJB on WebLogic

• JDBC, SQL, Stored procedures, Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL

• Expert level Spring Framework & Spring Integration

• Java JPA and/or Hibernate

• JUnit,Test Driven Development (TDD)

• WebServices& XML technologies, i.e. SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML BEANS

• Design patterns

• SCM via Subversion, ANT, MAVEN

• Agile/SCRUM experience

 

Major Responsibilities

• Analysis of current and new system components

• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements interactive software.

• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of software based on requirements.

• Coding, testing and production implementation.

• Highly analytical, possessing critical and creative thinking skills.

• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.

• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

• Web Application development and deployment

• Integration activities (application setups, configurations, coordination with other teams)

• Ensuring system design adheres to technical standards

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team.

• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members

• Support/maintenance/monitoring of existing DEV, QA, UAT and Production environments

• Can work independently on a given task if required.

• Defines and maintains IT development standards and best practices

 

Desired Skills

• 6-8 years Java programming experience

• 2-4 years Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL programming experience

 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
