Requirement details.

v  Implementation and designing of Netbackup solution for end-end backup solution for client

v  Migration of all the database backups from different circles/location for the client

v  Implementation of all SAN based backups on Leading Tape Library

v  Performance tuning and optimization for Netbackup and storage

v  Working closely with Storage team for storage related issues

v  Planning Backup Policies and Storage Units, Pools

v  Migration from one Backup tool to  another  tool

v  Tape Library Configuration and  Administration

v  Online Backups for Databases, Mail Servers etc

v  Backup Tool Configurations

v  Performance Management for Backup/Restore

v  Optimising Media Consumption

v  Patching on Backup/Restore Tool

v  Scripting / Automation of Major/ Complex Tasks

v  Recovery of Backup/Restore Servers from failure

v  Integrating  with other tools: Enterprise Management Systems

v  Planning and Implementing  Security for Backup & Restore Tools

v  Design Reports on backup usage and performance

v  Documentation describing hardware setups & diagrams

v  Documentation of Operational procedures and processes

v  Should be able to mentor L1 and L2 Backup Admins

v  Installation, configuration, administration and complete maintenance of Netbackup

v  Migration of NetBackup Master/Media Servers from one platform to another

v  Designing and implementing and new solutions in SSO for better optimization and usage of resources for backup.

v  Installation of different tape libraries of different vendors with different media servers

v  working knowledge of NetApp Filer. NetApp VTL, cloning and export of VTL tapes, PureDisk 6.6

v  Responsible for reviewing the complete backup Infra. Plan & advise on new H/W Infra for backup to higher mngmnt.for New Backup Infra.

v  Providing Technical Consultation on NBU features like NDMP and FT client backups, SAN Media Server Backups, along with proper assessment technical documentation.

v  Looking into capacity planning and management. Working on escalated issues by Backup Ops.

v  SAN and NAS implementation of Netbackup e.g., NetApp, EMC-Clarion/Celera,

v  SAN related troubleshooting

v  IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration (familiarity)
