Job Title: AIX System Engineer (Systems Analyst, 3 Emerging)

WORK DESCRIPTION

 

The selected System Engineer will lead in the building and configuring of a Power 7-based system in support of implementations in the test and production environments. Able to review the performance monitoring of the respective environment, determine opportunities to refine the configuration of a component and determine new resource / capacity requirements. Responsibilities also include working with the application teams, other support teams and product vendors to engineer solutions that are scalable, supportable and maintainable. The engineering of solutions also includes working with the technical disciplines to determine the appropriate infrastructure requirements to meet the business objective. The individual must have experience in supporting a 7x24 environment and being compliant within the guidelines and controls. The individual must be experienced in performing problem diagnostics to determine the root cause of an issue.

              Job Description:

Analyst would be responsible for support on RTS legacy system as it is being re-factored.  This requires writing, maintaining and testing legacy code.

 

Other Special Requirements (Optional):

 

A statewide criminal and sex offender background check shall be conducted on the selected candidate. Supporting documentation confirming the completion of the required background check must be provided to the purchaser prior to the start date or any time during the term of the purchase order upon request by the designated state representative.  Failure to provide the requested documentation upon request by the State may be cause for cancellation of the purchase order.  The background check shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

Job description:

·         Gather and analyze user requirements, Develops test plans, Oversees acceptance testing ,Specifies system interfaces, documents operational requirements, Supports the user in development of work processes

Job Responsibilities:

·         Identify and plan the documentation required by Product Development, Assurance, Regulatory and Manufacturing according to internal policy / procedure and Regulatory requirements.

·         Facilitate the timely change, review, approval, and release of documentation according to project schedules, including the resolution of resource issues relative to the creation (e.g. word processing of CAD work). •             

·         Perform all aspects of complex engineering changes, including ECR / ECO processing, parts lists changes, MRP input, manufacturing process changes, document checking and archiving. •    

·         Interpret, clarify and help develop documentation policies and procedures within the department and for other users of the documentation system.

·         Assist Supervisor/Manager in training new documentation employees and contract personnel on systems used in Configuration Assurance.

·         Generate monthly status reports and graphs in Excel and Powerpoint. Create/maintain complicated Excel spreadsheets calculating ECO/DEV totals, turnaround time and averages.            

·         Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Configuration Assurance processes for the control, review, revision, distribution, production, retrieval of records associated with device master records, design history records and other quality records.           

·         Initiate and attend meetings to provide expertise on document control formats, and system structures.
