Our client is seeking a Sr. QA  Automation Engineer for a contract opportunity in Irving, TX! Seeking candidates who can test API's using Java for AWS cloud applications. The primary responsibility is to develop sophisticated test suites for functional and regression and performance testing.

• Test current products and identifying deficiencies
• Suggest solutions to identified product problems
• Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
• Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
• Developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems as needed for the product
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement
• Monitoring and analyzing quality performance of the product
• Identify key KPIs for product quality
• Prepare and present reports and metrics as needed for monitoring

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• 6+ years experience with testing Java platforms
• 6+ years experience with Java, Java Scripts, testing RESTful APIs.
• Appium experience
• 2+ years AWS cloud testing experience
• Strong analytical skills, with critical thinking capability and strong problem solving skills
• Expertise in both automation & manual testing.
• Expertise in both Regression and Performance Testing
• Establish appropriate projects in Jenkins that work in conjunction with automated build and deploy jobs and execute automated test scripts using Jenkins.
• Coordination with multiple teams for End-End testing and UAT
• Attention to Detail
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in developing test framework, test suites and scripting for cloud based applications
• Production Deployment Verification
• Strong experience in working with DevOps and Build pipelines.
• Strong experience with development methodologies such as Agile or SCRUM
• Expertise in NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills
• Expertise in Java/Javascript for writing test suites
• Experience with Gitlab, Postman
• Experience with DevOps and Deployments
• Experience with Cucumber, Karate
• Experience with Jmeter for Performance/Load Testing
• Experience with testing POS and Credit card payment systems is a plus.
