This role will interface on a regular basis with CMS Business Owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), other CMS components, and/or contractors to align with various CMS strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background envisioning, architecting, building, scaling big-data solutions in on-prem and/ or cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments.
Some representative technologies include Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Parquet, Presto, Redshift, Azure Synapse, Databricks, BigQuery, Data catalogs, Glue, EMR, etc.
The ecosystem has a preference for open-source, open standards and loosely coupled integration architectures.
The candidate will have program management and/ or leadership experience managing delivery teams, working with key stakeholders with solutioning and buy-in, governance and overall execution of big-data efforts. This role will participate in strategic decision making as well as supporting projects at an execution level.
The candidate will possess superior written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
Demonstrated ability to present ideas in user-friendly language and ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment.
