Urgently Need Data Warehouse - Ab Initio developer @ Dulles, VA for 12+ months

Responsibilities:

 

Warehouse Design - Work with the Data Warehouse Architects and Solution Architects to understand and implement a solid, extensible warehouse design that supports the new analytics requirements. 

Warehouse ETL - Build and maintain code built with Ab Initio to populate Netezza and Mysql (and any other database deemed appropriate) databases with data loaded from multiple sources systems. Perform all necessary data transformations to populate data into a warehouse table structure that is optimized for reporting.  Create scope documentation to ensure understanding of the business and technical requirements.

On-going Warehouse Maintenance - Quickly assess the impact of production system changes to existing analytics and implement changes to the warehouse ETL application code.

 

Qualifications:

 

Requires 5 years Ab Initio development experience in a high volume data warehouse.

Experience with the design and implementation of scripts that populate large relational data warehouse environments.

Solid understanding of rational index design and SQL statement optimization techniques.

Ability to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment on really interesting problems - Must be able to use sound judgment to develop effective solutions from loosely stated requirements.

Intense attention to detail - Should be able to effectively QA own work product to make sure that warehouse data is complete and accurate.

Exceptional problem solving and communication skills.

Experience with the following:  Netezza MySQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, Netezza, Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, PERL, Business Objects, Java/J2EE, ATOMICS, AutoSys, UNIX, Shell Script, PERL, C/C++, SOX Compliance Systems and procedures, RDBMS.
