Our client, one of the top US investment banks, offering securities underwriting and trading, mergers and acquisitions advice, research, private equity investment, and risk management products, is seeking Business Objects report developer in Data-Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) projects.
Location: New York, NY
Position: Contract
A challenging role as Business Objects report developer in Data-Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) projects.
Overall accountability for the planning, development and implementation of pertinent and performing reports and dashboards.
Varied tasks ranging from the design and shaping of client's reporting requirements to the technical realization of complex reports from technical specifications and requirements documents.
Responsibility for the set up and management of the reporting environment (e.g. ordering user roles, getting approvals, setting up Business Object work space environments)
And for the quality of report specifications and technical documents .
Involvement in functional and regression testing for deployment of applications
Setting up Business Object universes and building and maintaining various reports
Technical Knowledge:
More than 8 years experience as report developer within major BI and DWH projects including customer exposure.
Strong report development skills using the following technologies: Business Objects Reporting, Oracle 10g, PL/SQL .
Deep analytical skills as well as structured working methods
Understanding of software architecture and engineering principles including design patterns.
Experience with BO SDK or other reporting tools SDK/APIs
Knowledge of HTML, Java script, CSS require.
Business Knowledge:
General knowledge of financial industry – equities, fixed income, options
Knowledge of Private Banking domain - advisory process, wealth management strategies a plus
