AS400/RPG Developers – 6+ month contract located in Richardson


Rate : $47/hr. C2C

Skills:

5+ years in AS400 RPG Development (should have RPGLE and CL)

Healthcare industry experience (Medicare, Medicaid, HIPPA)

Demonstrated successful completion of several small scope projects with proficiency working on all phases of SDLC.

Solid knowledge of and experience with problem determination and resolution through research and fact-finding.

Clear and concise communication and presentation skills are required to facilitate meetings with both technical and business audiences, often across multiple functional departments.

 

Preferred:

SYNON (CA2E, CoolPlex, and Cool 2E may also be considered SYNON)– heavily preferred

Objective is development of a new Claims system and enhancements to an existing adjudication program.

 

The Sr Application Development Analyst is proficient in all critical functions for the application(s) assigned, and is expected to champion SDLC methods and best practices on the team to ensure quality standards are met. Responsible for the design/redesign, development and implementation of technical solutions, incorporating peripheral knowledge of other internal applications and related technologies in the analysis and design. Adhere to established methodologies, standards and guidelines.

 

Responsible to work independently or participate in small to mid-size projects completing complex work requests under minimal guidance. Accountable to formulate/define system scope and objectives for deliverables ensuring established timelines and cost estimates are maintained. Provide ongoing production support and maintenance as assigned, which may include rotational 24x7 on-call support or code implementation efforts. Effectively present information and respond to questions either one-on-one or to groups, including formal presentations and regular status to management and business partners. Share technical and business expertise with other team members and business partners. Work to understand business, functional and technical issues to effectively apply technical solutions. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Participate in internal quality assurance review and post implementation support and system enhancements. Additionally, facilitate meetings with both technical and business audiences, often across multiple functional departments. May instruct, direct and check the work of other staff assigned to the project. Identify areas for improvement, present recommendations and champion changes. Keep apprised on industry best practices.
