Location: Farmingham,MA

Duration: 3+ Months

Description:

Develop automated software system to gather, perform analysis and report on data quality measures and checks across and within several database applications

• Utilizes available open source tools whenever possible
• Integrate with existing tools and databases
• Draws on established database systems of IBM DB2 and Oracle
• Creates and maintains a database application
• Will follow an Agile development process via incremental sprints

 

Basic Requirements:

(This refers to the basic requirements an applicant must possess in order to be considered a candidate).

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent at an accredited college or university
• Development experience with SQL
• Experience with understanding database design
• Ability to work up alternatives to tactical design details and recommendations for review
• Experience with Extract, Translate and Load (ETL) tools and understanding of inter-database mapping
• Ability to quickly "ramp-up" and become functionally competent in new software packages
• Strong technical writing skills
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred Requirements:

<Skills & experience that are "nice to have">

• Experience with BIRT or equivalent report design tool
• Experience with Talend Open Studio
• Experience with the MySQL SQL dialect and database set-up of MySQL
• Experience with databases and functions of order management systems and with the Yantra OMS module in particular
• Orientation to data quality and quality improvement concepts
• Experience with Version One or other Agile project tracking software
• Experience with AS/400 DB2 database
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum framework a plus
