Position: Microstrategy Architect

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Duration: 6+months

 

Responsibilities: 

The MicroStrategy/BI Reporting SME is responsible for design, development, and maintenance of Risk Platform data assets in an architecture that enables the organization to achieve its strategic goals. The SME has a high degree of expertise in Reporting Architecture, data architecture and integration. The SME plays a lead role in Business Intelligence/Reporting initiatives such as reporting strategy development, data migration, and data stewardship initiation. The SME provides thought leadership on reporting architecture at both the project level and the enterprise level.

Plays a lead role on simultaneous strategic development projects and tactical requests as assigned, providing expertise related to Information Modeling, Integration, Migration, Reporting, Quality, Metadata, Data Access, Security, Privacy, Content Management, Business Intelligence, and Architecture. Analyzes data and Reporting needs of projects in order to recommend and implement solutions maximize the compatibility of data within and across operating and functional environments. This includes analysis, designing semantic layer and integration of the information as it relates to the business requirements for in-house builds and evaluations of vendor product COTS solutions from a Business Intelligence perspective.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         College degree and 8 years of related work experience

·         Very strong relational and dimensional data modeling skills

·         Very strong experience in both operational (OLTP and ODS) and data warehouse data architecture design

·         Very strong data analysis skills

·         Very strong SQL skills

·         Strong data integration skills, including ETL

·         Experience with big data would be a plus

·         Experience with MicroStrategy BI is a must and other BI tools a plus

·         Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing

·         Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience

·         Team player

·         Excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal, and written

·         BS or BA degree in computer science or related field

·         4+ years of experience in MicroStrategy semantic layer design

·         Experience in BI tools administration

·         Experience in MicroStrategy SDK

·         Experience in MicroStrategy Administration- Security design, OLAP Services, Object Manager, Integrity Manager and performance tuning

·         3+ years of experience in designing relational databases and data warehouses and/or

·         3+ years of experience in data integration administration and development

·         Knowledge of relational database technology, modeling and design tools, and data integration technology and tools.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

·         5+ years of experience in database design and administration

·         6+ years of experience in MicroStrategy Schema design

·         5+ years of experience in Report development- MicroStrategy or similar tools

·         5+ years of experience in BI tools lifecycle Management

·         Understanding of the MicroStrategy SDK architecture

·         Experience working with full life cycle development process which includes architecture, analysis, design, development and testing
