Position: VMWare  Administration with 9+ years

Location: Greenville, NC

Duration: 3+months

 

Responsibilities: 

• VMWare Infrastructure Administration and management
• Installations for security patches, functional patches and version upgrades, update manager
• Performance tuning of ESX server
• Document support processes
• Interact with Service desk supervision team for Verification of solutions.
• Maintain Compliance with Corporate Security Policies:
• Security Policies: Work together with the security team, identify the server venerability issues and resolving them.
• Responsible for restoration of data.
• Strong hands on experience in following technologies: VMware vSphere, Nexus 1000v Virtual Switch, vCenter SSO Server
• Implementing, administrating and troubleshooting common TCP/IP based services, including NTP, DNS, SSL, SSH, services
• Experience with one or more of following technologies: Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Director, vCAC, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Orchestrator
• Experience with Cisco UCS blade servers and rack servers is essential
• Provide 2nd level systems support , VM provisioning and decommission
• Knowledge on automation and scripting will be added advantage. 
• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
• Good documentation skills
• Should have a excellent customer handling skills
• Able to handle high pressure situations
• High level of acceptance
• Worked on Production systems
• Datacenter understanding
• Experience with hardware platforms 
• Storage Management Techniques
• Experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining a medium/large environment (atleast 50-60 Servers)
