Location: San Francisco, CA 94104

Duration: 6-12+ Months

 

Job Responsibilities: 
• Coordinates with the data stewards and business analyst /business owners to make sure they are providing input to and reviewing business and technical requirements documents. 
• Manages data model designing, maintenance tasks and ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and communicating status. 
• Help and coordinate with team on the industry standards and best practices for effective use of Erwin data model design, merging model marts to synch in each environment. 
• Performs model design walk-through as needed to communicate design solution and to seek input from team members. 
• Ensure to get all required information from business stake holders and follow standard naming conventions abbreviations to create CDM, LDM and PDM. 
• Ensure transition to DBA team for every change incorporate at Database level after all required reviews and approvals are on place for same changes. 
• Ensure transition to production support is facilitated in an organized and planned manner. 
• Expert level in Banking domain and good to have working experience or good understanding in some banking projects like CCAR , IHC, Digital, DevOps, MDM, Finance and Risk Modeling, NFG, RBG data marts, DataNow, RMS and SAM Programs. 
• Knowledge of Denodo development across multiple projects at Bank is good to have. 

Skills: 
• Strong technical knowledge in Erwin and other data modeling tools 
• Strong Data warehousing and relational model knowledge along with CDM, LDM and PDM building. 
• Strong Oracle Database technical knowledge in the areas of general SQL and PLSQL, Oracle 12c is preferable. 
• Thorough understanding of Entire life cycle of Database designing and development life cycle and Methodologies 
• Good understanding and working experience in Normalization/De-normalization concepts. 
• End-to-end lifecycle experience with Enterprise wide data quality solutions 
• 7-10+ years of experience at Enterprise-level implementation of data Warehouse, regulatory projects and MDM using Erwin / ER Studio modeling tools. 
• 5+ years in banking and financial services is preferred 
• 5-7+ years of experience deploying large scale projects using Erwin Modeling Tool 
• Previous experience around Data Warehouse, regulatory projects, data quality control, MDM and Fraud Monitoring projects is preferred and great value addition 
• Good understanding of DevOps, Denodo virtualization tool, Jira a tool like share point. 
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica is preferred. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication 
• Experience in handling multiple projects, cross functional team and off shore teams 

Education/Experience: 
Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Financial systems and accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required 

Position Details: 
• Extensive experience data model design of Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR) and Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) Applications to be compliant with Fed CCAR requirements. 
• Experience in data model design of in Asset Liability Management Treasure (ALMT) application and Intraday Liquidity Monitoring (ILM) application as a part of IHC. 
• Working experience in data model design of Finance and Risk Mart (FARM) to provide consistency and conformity across business lines to support IRR, SCCL Reporting and Credit Risk Model. 
• Good knowledge data model design of DQ MART for Data Quality projects such as KDE for ALMT Application. 
• Experience in data model design of Master Data Management projects and DevOps projects. 
• Expertise in Erwin & ER modeling tools and Denodo as data virtualization tool and Jira tool. 
• Expertise in Data warehousing and relational model knowledge along with CDM, LDM and PDM building. 
• Knowledge of general SQL and PLSQL, Oracle 10g to 12c. 
• Thorough understanding of database designing and development life cycle and methodologies 
• Good understanding of Normalization/De-normalization concepts.
