6+ Months Contract
Experience Level: 5+ years in a commercial team-based agile software development environment in the practice of systems engineering for large scale enterprise systems involving real-time communications with event-driven micro-services cloud architecture.
Essential Duties:
Gather business requirements from internal customers and business analysts and translate these into user stories and technical requirements that map to the new systems architecture, components, and workflows
Create, manage, and maintain detailed design documentation
Identify, define, and track requirements for components, APIs, features, event types, workflows
Identify, define, and track requirements for system and component performance, scalability, availability, security
Identify, define, and track requirements for systems integration for systems developed in-house as well as vendor supplied
Provide requirements prioritization for backlog grooming and product management
Participate in use case development
Review test plans for coverage against requirements
Participate in test plan and test case development
Coordinate with business analysts, architects, team leads and developers
Required Skills:
3+ years of agile practice in a high-tech software environment
Strong Java skills
Contact Center tech skills
Java development background and hands on mindset
Experience with concepts like: Agile, cloud, DevOps, microservices
Software engineering background is ideal
Looking for someone that is capable of doing both design and development tasks
Demonstrated ability to develop requirements incrementally in parallel with design and implementation
Demonstrated ability to understand and master complex enterprise-scale architectures involving software technologies including WebRTC, event streaming and processing, workflows, real-time communications, NoSQL databases, high-availability, cloud deployment, containers, REST APIs, and micro-services.
Demonstrated ability to understand, design, and describe system-to-system and user-to-system real-time workflows, data flows, event delivery, and REST API call sequences between components in a large-scale enterprise system
Demonstrated ability to crystalize requirements into precise and concise language
Excellent communication and people-interaction skills
Use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Desired Skills:
Confluence experience
JIRA experience
JUnit experience
