Description:
Project Manager responsible for major data center migration, providing input and executing a plan relating to client migrations to the new data center. His efforts will facilitate a seamless migration of major financial clients, helping to keep the clients trading with the client during the phased migration. He will work closely with the Senior Director of Hosting Services to identify and track client implementation and decommission projects as per established timelines. Will work with the various internal teams (Facilities, Installation team, Engineering, Operations, SFTI Provisioning) to facilitate all work surrounding the installation efforts at Mahwah and decommission of clients in three data centers
Objectives:
• Coordinate migration efforts with clients and end client
• Work closely with Senior Director of Hosting Services and other internal resources to facilitate successful collocation installations in new data center. Outline milestone & critical path items and will identify planning and implementation expectation for client.
• Work closely with client to ensure all business requirements and objectives are met during migration.
• Participate in client data discovery process.
• Document findings and provide to client management.
• Provide project status reports to client management.
• Insure proper action plans are in place to address key issues and client objectives.
• Assist with planning related to Weehawken collocation client migration.
• Coordinate hardware deliveries and installations as per client requirements.
• Work with client staff to properly define requested services and set client expectations properly.
Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
• Project Management skills – managing multiple projects
• Knowledge of Data Center Environments
• Knowledge of networks and cabling
• Experience dealing with client initiatives and all levels of client management
