Primary Skill Requirement

Teradata SQL

 

Performs complex data scripting, acquisition, maintenance, and analysis leveraging Verizon's centralized data systems.
- Develops and maintains complex XML and Teradata SQL scripting to facilitate the transfer and consolidation of Internet marketing sales and services data. Must have a strong understanding of data modeling as well as SQL script development for data extraction.
- Responsibilities will include pro-active management of specialized Executive reporting and script development/deployment; including macros for text messaging, XML quebed transfers and advanced Teradata SQL development.
- Must be able to translate Business requirements into new SQL scripts. Out-of-the box scripts may not be available for all reporting so candidate must be able to develop on his/her own while leveraging the Verizon datawarehouse modeling.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Management teams.
- Must be strong in Web Analytics. This position will require data gathering, data summarization, analytical insight/foresight into data trends as well as effective presentation of data/insights.
- Must be familiar with Telephony and/or Internet based business environments.
- Must be a self-starter and able to lead projects with minimal direction.
- 3+ years of Teradata SQL, Teradata SQL Assistant, XML
- 2+ years experience with the following: VB, VB.net, SQL, Excel, Visual Studio Net, as well as customizing/automating all office applications with VBA.
