This individual should have solid understanding of the data warehouse development lifecycle.
• Minimum of 12-9 years of IT work experience focused in Data Acquisition and Data Integration using DataStage for multi-terabyte Data warehouse in the area of ETL design, implementation, scheduling.
• In Depth Experience in DB2, write SQL, stored procedures, tuning rogue ETL jobs.
• Experience integrating the components of the following DB2, SQL and Data Stage (ETL).
•Experience in Designing& Implementing ELT solution for multi-terabyte Data Warehouse and understand its impacts.
• Experience working with flat files, running ELT jobs concurrently.
• Deep experience in Data Acquisition and Data Integration
• Deep experience in ETL development using DataStage V7.5 or V8
• Experience with IBM AIX UNIX and DB2
•Anticipate and respond to customer needs; self starter and customer service oriented
• Works within the team to make appropriate, effective decisions related to project responsibilities and to initiate and follow-up on assigned tasks without supervision

• Input and output record layouts
• File/Directory naming conventions
• File/table sizing information
• File/table volume information
• File retention/archival information
• Documentation on how the data will be transformed

• Unit Test Documentation
• Accurate and efficient ETL process moved to production
•Data modeling using Star Schema, snow flake schema.
•ETL – Data Stage is required .
•Unix shell scripting is required.
•Building ETL jobs and creating scheduler in Tivoli is required.
•Writing/Debugging Complex SQL, stored procedures and experience around issues with DB2 is required.
- Working experience in a Healthcare industry.
