Job Description:

We are a startup company in the online brokerage and electronic exchange industries looking for an individual that is highly motivated, self-sufficient, detail-oriented and thorough.  The main responsibilities of this position entail designing, developing and reviewing of server and client side code, testing, documenting, and supporting our applications.  Collaboration with teams external, internal, abroad, and domestic is a necessity so the individual will 

need to have excellent communication skills.  The individual should be willing to learn new technologies, improve upon existing skills, and to offer guidance where he or she excels in.  We are a startup and need a leader and a go getter that doesn't mind wearing multiple hats at the same time and getting down and dirty to get the job don

Requirements:

 

·         Three to five years programming experience with Core Java (POJOs) leveraging Spring on the server side

 

·         Experience with designing RIAs with Flex

 

·         AJAX, HTML, and XML

 

·         Experience with Linux or UNIX and shell scripting

 

·         Experience with SQL and database design using MySQL

 

·         Strong knowledge and usage of Design Patterns in both Applications and Integration

 

·         Experience with full SDLC

 

·         Good analytical and problem solving skills

 

·         Good with time management

 

·         Ability to communicate well both verbal and written

 

·         Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies

 

·         Team player but can work as an individual as well

 

Pluses:

 

·         Knowledge of Fixed Income

 

·         FIX 4.4 Protocol

 

·         Lightstreamer

 

·         LCDS or WebOrb for Java

 

·         Jetty

 

·         Apache Camel

 

·         ActiveMQ

 

·         Maven 2

 

·         Systems Administration of RHEL or CentOS.
