Prepares the detailed systems specifications for translation into structured applications with the necessary interfaces into other systems or across platforms.
Writes programs as needed and conducts design and code reviews.
Designs the systems test requirements to ensure fail safe integration of a program into a production system.
Organizes, coordinates and conducts systems integration testing.
Assists the technical support function in establishing the urgency of a client problem, resolving the problem, if needed and handling ongoing communications with the client.
Estimates work effort for any client request.

Leads assigned projects to their completion following I.R. standards, within the time and budget constraints, while meeting client business needs.

Apache AXIS 2.0 (SOAP Web Service Engine) .
Java API for XML-Based RPC (JAX-RPC) .
Java Servlets & JavaServer Pages (JSP) .
Enterprise JavaBeans Components (EJB) .
Java Mail Service (JavaMail) .
Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) .
Java Data Base Connectivity API (JDBC) .

 

Practical Experience with the following Third Party API:

 

Experience with the Struts framework .
Experience with Java Standard Tag Libraries (JSTL) .
Experience with logging frameworks (i.e. commons logging or log4j) .

 

Application Servers:
Experience with IBM Websphere Application Server (WAS 6+) .
Experience with Rational Application Developer (RAD6+) or Eclipse 3+ .

 

Operating Systems:
Familiar with the Unix/Linux Operating System .
Familiar with the Windows XP Operating System .

 

Process Experience:
Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
Working knowledge of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) .

 

Education:
BS/BA degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience .

 

Certifications:
Preferred Java Certifications (Sun / IBM / Brainbrench) .
