Title : Linux Administrator

Location : California

Duration : 6 Months

 

The Job Description is as follows:

 

In depth understanding of server-based operating system; kernel configurations, understands system designs and hardware configurations.

Can provide supervision to junior associates.

Works under the general supervision of a project lead or system administrator manager.

Working knowledge of Vmware ESX 4.x; ESXi

Skilled in Redhat Linux 4x, 5x (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt,   patch mgmt)

Working knowledge of hpux 11.1, 11.2 (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg   mgmt, patch mgmt)

SAN storage technologies (like rdf, snaps, etc) preferably with EMC will be plus

Sound volume management skills preferably hp lvm will be plus o clustering experience: HP MC/SG, GFS, Veritas Clustering and

Oracle RAC on Linux

Basic level scripting (either shell or perl should be fine) but should be capable of understanding other shell scripts
