Please provide me your details like: Application Development Department has a requirement for a Client Server application tester. This position is a contractor opening to support the testing efforts for a large scale system, including regression testing of a client server PC-based application. This role supports the Technical Lead in system test planning, documentation, coordination and system test execution efforts for product release schedules. The ideal candidate will be an experienced tester with application development experience, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and a team player with exceptional time management skills. Essential Job Responsibilities Ø Under direction, participates as a highly technical expert in testing new software or enhancements to existing software. Ø Creation of automated test scenarios Ø Supports test planning activities of team and the team lead Ø Records system test scenarios and scripts in HP Quality Center (QC) Ø Ensures system test scenarios and scripts are traceable to and from documented business requirements Ø Manages defects in QC throughout the system test lifecycle Ø Works with Technical Lead and Project Manager to identify and promptly resolve any issues that may arise during testing Ø Participates in daily team SCRUM Essential Qualifications/Experience Ø Previous experience as a Lead Tester or 6+ years of experience in test planning, test case design, development and execution in a PC environment Ø Solid knowledge of client server application validation and testing Ø Practical experience and knowledge in the following technologies and tools: o Automated Testing o HP Quality Center o SQL Development (MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008) o Operating System Environments (Microsoft Windows). Ø Ability to write clear and concise technical documents. Ø Ability to clearly document a process or procedure for others to follow. Ø Ability to be relied upon to complete a task or project with minimal supervision. Ø Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to manage multiple testing objectives and efforts Ø Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ø Proven customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications/Experience Ø Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or equivalent work experience). Ø Solid knowledge of automated testing practices and tools
