The role is SAS EBI with SAS Administration and Data Integration using SAS Code, naming PROC SQL.
The EBI reports are basically all OLAP cube being created using OLAP Studio and being surfaced within EG and AMO. Eventually they will want to move this over to IMS, WRS and the Portal, but for now it will stay in EG and SAS Addin for Micorsoft Office (Excel specifically). All the data resides in a MYSQL database and they are using Access to MYSQL to get at the data. Data is pulled from MYSQL into SAS tables using SAS coding, specifically PROC SQL. For this engagement explicit pass-through to MYSQL will be important to ensure that the RDBMS is doing most of the work for the query. Below is a more detailed bullet pointed list of skillsets.
The environment is a single tier LINUX installation. All data is located within MYSQL databases and they use ACCESS/MYSQL to pull extracts and refreshes of OLAP Base Tables. From the OLAP base tables OLAP Cube Studio is being used to create the cubes.
