Skills

 

Configure, test, upgrade, install, maintain and support all types of firewalls and network security products.

Establish network designs, and security architecture to control and ensure the safety of Pearson's assets, and to protect Pearson's systems from unauthorized access.
Evaluate access requests approved by security office and implement them on the network.
Design, test and implement the best method to allow newly acquired companies, 3rd party business partners and vendors access to the network as required.
Work with auditors to provide information for compliance scans as required, and evaluate results.
Work with networking groups to ensure compliance to PCI, SOX, HIPA and privacy issues and to remediate devices where required.
Write and update network equipment standards as they pertain to security.
Identify risks; define solutions, standards and procedures to remediate those risks.
Stay abreast of industry developments, technology advances and analyzes their impact on the Pearson network.
