This person would be part of a team responsible developing and supporting high traffic consumer websites, web content management, and digital asset management. You should have strong experience in Java-based web applications and consumer- oriented web technologies. Responsibilities
· Lead the design, development and unit testing of new features, provide ongoing support to deliver the project to production, and post launch support · Complete all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, documentation, testing and deployment · Communicate directly with internal business customers or partners, gathering requirements, providing project status updates testing and conducting quality assurance · Provide technical leadership capabilities on team to propose and drive technical solutions. · Assist internal business customers and partners in implementing consumer web site and content management solutions · Interact directly with our internal business customers to resolve technical support issues in a timely manner
Essential Skills:
· Prior experience working for a high volume, high demand web based application · Proficient in Java /J2EE web application development (JSP, Servlets, JSF, MVC, JPA, SQL and RDBM, Tomcat, JBoss, Ant, Maven, SVN or equivalent) · Experience with Hibernate or other object-relational mapping framework(s). · Experience with one or more relational databases (Oracle preferred) · Experience with Continuous Integration and supporting products (Hudson or equivalent) Desirable Skills: · Experience with AOP or equivalent technology · Understanding of PHP, FTP · Familiarity with Digital Asset Management systems and digital workflow solutions · Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) · Experience working with offshore development teams · Integration experience with internal legacy and 3rd party software. · An ability to and desire for learning new technologies, processes and organizations · Willingness to change and grow through challenging assignments · A passion for customers and a strong interest and desire to handle a variety of technical issues from the very basic through the ambiguous to complex · Excellent communication skills · Ability to work independently, learn quickly and be proactive · Proven problem-solving ability in both business and technical environments · Good Analytical and Communication skills · Good documentation capabilities · Ability to multitask by helping cross-functional and other project teams in resolving challenges
