Job title: BI Architect w/strong Reporting
Duration: 6 months +
Max Rate: $60/hr on C2C
Location: Boston, MA (Local or near to MA)
Specific Deliverables:
- Definition of logical and physical business intelligence architecture design
- Databases, warehouses, marts`
- Data source integration
- Technology architecture
- Technology infrastructure
- Assist in setup and configuration of tools and technologies across dev, test and production environments
- Working with team to develop detailed component designs and standards
- Significant contribution to project plans, tasks and staffing, and team leadership
- Tracking and status of issues, scope and execution
Experience Required:
- At least 2 years recent experience as a Project/Technical Lead a must
- At least 4 years of specialized experience in the design and implementation of reporting solutions with Oracle OBIEE technologies, with a high degree of maturity setting up and maintaining Oracle products on various platforms.
- At least 3 years recent experience in implementing web based BI solutions for internet, extranet and intranet
- Experience in database and warehouse design and implementation and related oracle technologies
- Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure to support development and production of applications using oracle data, OBIEE and related business intelligence technologies
- Experience in ETL technologies including Oracle ODI a plus
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions in a highly available clustered environment.
- Experience in related oracle technologies in a Linux environment
- Experience designing and developing public facing business intelligence sites, including portals, dashboards, basic reports (charts, graphs, maps, drill downs) and advanced reports (ad-hoc reporting).
- Experience in web technologies including weblogic web and application servers
- Experience in javascript and java technologies a significant plus
- Experience in developing map based reports with OBIEE and Oracle map viewer a plus
- Experience in multi-dimensional databases including Oracle Essbase a plus
- Proven effective execution experience in high visibility, high criticality programs with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of the client organization
- State and or federal government experience helpful, but not mandatory
Skills Required:
- Design, implement, and support business intelligence and application solution using Oracle database, OBIEE and related products
- Design and implementation of infrastructure to support applications, including implementation and management of development, test and production environments.
- Contribution to the infrastructure architecture and application of technologies within infrastructure
- Contribution to the design and implementation of the OBIEE business intelligence solution.
- Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to understand and be the go to person for the big picture and direction as well as maintaining a good grasp in understanding the detailed requirements and nuances of the solution.
- Good mentorship skills and ability to work in a team environment supporting technical and project aspects of team leadership and growth
- Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at executive and junior levels Consistent attention to detail
