Title: Java/J2EE Developer

Location: Norwalk, CT

 

Rate: $45/hr on C2C

 

Responsibilities:

• Performs coding, package configuration compliant with the required development standards; prepares component and assembly test plans, including conditions, data and expected results; and performs component and assembly testing.
• Creates system documentation for computer programs and subsystems in development or maintenance environment.
• Able to lead subsystem designs and participate in system design projects.
• Expected to provide effective knowledge transfer on all work performed to select employees.
• Analyzes, resolves, or assists others in resolving test or production problems.
• Supports business studies, costing and feasibility studies, and proposal preparation efforts. 

Pre-Requites:

• A university degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
• Three to six years or equivalent applications programming experience and may require specific industry or platform experience
• Unix, Shell Scripting, Java Application Server (BEA Weblogic, Websphere), Message Oriented Middleware (MQ series)
• Strong Proficient level of expertise in a particular application/s (Packaged or custom build).
• Proficient level of Design (UML/Object Modeling) and Application programming Proficient level
• Production System Support (Mastery level)
• Component/Assembly Testing Skills (Proficient level) SDLC (Proficient level) of Planning Proficient level - Issue identification and escalation Proficient level - Status reporting Proficient level - Analytical and decision making skills Proficient level - Communication and presentation skills Proficient level of Solutioning and problem solving skills 
• Must have Hibernate experience. Project is to convert Websphere business application from EJB 2.0 to Hibernate. Will be receiving direction from 2 senior developers.
