QA Test lead with DW/BI

Role:  DW/BI tester

·         Location:  Portland, Maine

·         Hourly rate:  $45/hr

·         Test Lead Job Description:

 

SCOPE OF WORK:

* Work with onshore Team members to understand requirements for each task affecting any component of application.

* Prepare Test strategy and plan (based on TD Standards)

* Person will be responsible for working with technical staff in planning, executing, and documenting testing.

* Handle team of 4-5 testers.

* Learn individual components of system to execute of comprehensive test plans.

* Follow and enhance developed testing processes, procedures, or methodologies. Document test cases to meet desired test coverage goals.

* Work to minimize risk by identifying, communicating issues/risks in advance. Must have solid communication skills in order to be able to raise defects, conduct test planning, test execution status meetings with senior client staff

* Report the status of work on regular basis as per the communication channel decided.

* Building Test plan, Test Scripts and execute Test Scripts in Quality Center.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Oracle, PL/SQL

* Must be able to write complex queries and tune them.

* Data warehousing testing experience. With BI

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Work with minimal supervision, but knows when to ask the right questions.

* Development of testing strategy/plan/cases.

* Must be analytical, detailed and team oriented.

* Mercury Quality Center or any other defect tracking tool
