Job Title: Business Objects Developer

Location: Omaha, NE,

Duration: 5+ months

 

Business Intelligence - Sr. Software Developer

The position will be responsible for the following items among others:
Act as the Liaison between Technology and the Business Area
Business Objects/Crystal Development and Maintenance
Coordinate the completion of work including resource assignments
Coordinate implementation of new software releases
Assist assigned resources with issues and roadblocks
Collaborate on standards, guidelines and processes
Coordinate training of new associates
Coordinate with other T2 Teams
Communicate with Business Clients on a regular basis
Awareness of Business Objects new features
On-call lead (escalation point) for Production Support; participate in the chain of decision making
May present technical details of system implementation plans during Core Review meeting
May be focal point for Maintenance & Small Projects
May be responsible for Remedy monitoring, reporting, and follow-up with developers
New functionality training - custom functionality & Business Objects vanilla functionality.

 

Business Objects Developer (Webi / Crystal/Deski/Xcelsius) version XiR3 or higher with 4-5 years' experience
ETL skills with Informatica or other likewise tools
Strong SQL & PL/SQL skills
Working knowledge on Databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, Access etc
Fair knowledge on Data warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts
Good communication and listening skills
Great team player

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Strong technical experience in Business Intelligence area. Experience in Business Objects design, development and implementation experience a must. Must be able to articulate solution based on the needs with attention to detail both at the business level and the technology level.
Hands-on experience in Business Objects XI.
Proficiency in SQL and Financial reporting concepts
Business Intelligence Process and Date Warehouse background
Familiarity with MS Project, Excel, and Visio
Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Experience in brokerage industry is a plus.
Experience in similar Business Intelligence technologies like Hyperion is preferred
3 to 5 years of software development and project lead experience in the securities industry preferred.
Proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute and solve complex technical problems.
Experience mentoring and growing teams
