Position:                                Sr. Ab Initio Team Lead Developer (2)

Location:                             El Paso, TX

Length:                                 6-9 months w/option for additional time

Start Date:                           ASAP

Rate:                                                      $60-75.00 all inclusive

Overview:

Lead and participate in the design and development of various applications to support the Ab Initio Reporting team.  This will involve assisting in the creation of analytical and reporting solutions. The Team leads will be responsible for leading the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

 

Requirements:

1.       Must have Prior experience Leading small groups of  Ab Initio Developers

2.       Must have 3-5 Prior developing & deploying, creating high level and detailed ETL designs using Ab Initio GDE and basic component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition }

3.       Must have prior exp assisting in gathering, identifying & clarifying reporting requirements

a.         In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables. 

b.         Develops and/or leads the development of prototypes

4.       Must be able to perform the following activities including:

a.         Validation and updates to Ab Initio graphs for all the data transfer and loading routines across applications

b.        Root cause analysis of issues in the Ab Initio jobs, correction of jobs, testing and deployment

c.         Coordination with source and destination system/application owners on the data flow issues and coordination with Business on any data related issues

d.        Able to estimate, size, plan for change requests and projects that involve Ab Initio in the CLM/ERM suite of applications

5.       Develop programming specifications including design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

6.       Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

7.       Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

8.       Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
