Design Technical Lead
Looking for an experienced Design Technical Lead to help create a revolutionary new health and wellness platform. Design Technical Lead:
· Responsible for the design and development of GuideWell web applications on Java Platform within a Scrum agile team. Job functions include
· Play a key role as the teams Design Technical Lead to explore and design new approaches to developing and testing front-end and back-end systems supporting an eCommerce site.
· With a small Agile team, consume, build and test business features in a highly visible environment
· Create and present prototypes to validate system design
· Analyzing business requirements, story-boards and similar artifacts of the scrum process, identify integration points and other interfaces between complex applications and designing and documenting the system solutions architecture.
· Document all designs, technical specifications and produce various technical documentation as required.
· Working with a tester to identify and remediate defects within the context of scrum sprint.
· Integrate the system with several third-party systems (sales, billing, content management, social media systems and others)
Minimum Knowledge and Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of expert knowledge in developing web applications using jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Java, Spring, and relevant source libraries.
· Minimum 5 years experience designing data schemas and integrating relational databases into web solutions.
· Expertise in Java frameworks including Spring MVC and Hibernate with extensive knowledge of Java application servers (WebSphere, Tomcat, et. al.).
· Experience integrating a content management system (e.g., Alfresco, Drupal, Joomla, WordPress).
· Advanced knowledge of HTTP, HTML, XML/XSL, JavaScript, AJAX and JSON.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a highly fluid environment with quickly changing priorities.
Desired Knowledge and Experience:
· Knowledge of JSP, Servlets, Custom Tag Libraries, JDBC.
· Experience working in a scrum or other agile environment.
· Experience with design of applications and web services hosted on WebSphere Application and Commerce Servers.
· Experience with Eclipse, Subversion, Maven, JUnit.
· Experience with Drools rules engine.
· Familiarity with JIRA / GreenHopper or other code versioning tools.
· Mobile development skills (HTML5, iOS, Android)
· Experience deploying Cloud-based Web Solutions (e.g. Amazon EC2)
