Title                 SQL DBA 

Location          Baltimore, MD (Woodlawn- 21244)

Duration           12+ months     (extensions given every 12 months based on performance)

Interview         Phone + FTF or Skype (based on location of candidate)

Experience      9 -10years of min exp along with a degree

Rate                 $50-55/HR

 

 

 

This position will be responsible for:

·         Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.

·         Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements.

·         Administration tasks for several SQL server databases.

·         Provide advice and support to development resources.

·         Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures.

·         Supporting the standing standards, policies and procedures of the customer team.

·         Provide mentorship to group members and will be expected to help develop and support mid and junior level staff.

·         May be scheduled for after hours on-call support and will be required to apply production packages during non-peak hours.

·         The implementation of replication, virtualization, and ETL tasks.

·         The selected candidate will accept other duties as directed by management.

 

Skills Requirements

·         SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2 including:

·         DBA experience (strong experience required)

·         Database design and implementation

·         Database performance tuning

·         Application performance tuning

·         Troubleshooting and debugging

·         Backup and recovery

·         Excellent written and verbal skills.

·         Ability to independently research problems and provide solutions.

Knowledge of NIST Database Guidelines
