DB2 LUW (Linux, UNIX and Windows) version 9.5 or 9.7
Linux
Oracle or SQL DBA knowledge

 

DB2 LUW DBA duties including:

• Needs/requirements analysis
• Performance troubleshooting and tuning
• Database space management
• Analyzing logs and system messages
• Migration of changes to system test and production environments
• Ensuring automated monitoring of database health is in place and working as expected
• Database design
• Database creation (DDL)
• Capacity planning
• Database maintenance
• Frequent refreshing of database structure and data to prep test environments
• Documentation of key procedures and knowledge for other team members
• Archive/purge data
• LINUX scripting
• UNIX scripting
• Testing in support of database patches and upgrades from vendor
• Production system maintenance/support including:
• 24x7 on-call duties
• Responding appropriately to automated alerts
• Responding appropriately to requests from other teams
• Assisting other team members as needed
• Pro-active maintenance to avoid issues later
