SAP and Open Text Archiving Expert

Role/Purpose:

The SAP and Open Text Archiving Expert will build, maintain and support the huge and complex archiving environment. This position guarantees that archived data is available for the business at any time. This position  contributes to project work for implementations, migrations and extensions. In adition this position participates in  the whole Change and Problem Management (Software Upgrades, Restart, Recovery, Bugfixing, Software and Database Tuning)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Development of archiving strategies

·         Project management and roadmap creation for archiving projects

·         Participating in definition of short and long term archiving concepts

·         Support of the archiving solutions and business consulting

 

 

Critical Competencies/Minimum Requirements:

·         Degree in Information Technologies or similar

·         Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with 1+ years of SAP archiving technologies

·         Familiar with SAP Data and/or Document Archiving and Document Info Records (DIRs)

·         Mulitple years of Experience in SAP Data and/or Document Archiving Practices

·         Good knowledge of Data & Information Lifecycle Management

·         Profound understanding of the SAP Archiving Technology

·         Good understanding of business processes and its interfaces to archiving

·         Hands on experience withSQL and Oracle Databases

·         Familiar with Open Text / Livelink / Open Text (IXOS) products

·         Ability to work in a global environment (cultural awareness)

·         Ability to work in a fast moving environment

·         Foreign travel up to 20%
