Here is the information on the VB.NET Consulting opportunity I have available in the Boston MA area, its a 2 to 3 month contract with the strong possibility of going longer, if you have any candidates available for this opportunity I would be interested in speaking with them. The manager prefers candidates coming from the local area

 

Project Description: My client is undergoing an update to their web application and website. They are building a whole new interface to incorporate Web API's to expand their capabilities. This interface is written in VB.NET utilizing front-end technologies. The project is very important to my client and there is a pipeline of projects available once this step is completed.

 

Consultant's Day to day responsibilities:

1. Work in a team of 3 developing a new web based application and web UI

2. Participate in requirement and design reviews

3. Document work products

4. Communicate throughout the team with Sales, Marketing, and Economists

 

Technologies Involved:  Front end is VB.NET, backend is MySQL,

 

Required Skills:

· 3-5+ years VB.NET experience with strong understanding of classes, data control, and API interfaces

· Experience building a data driven application in a scientific, engineering, manufacturing, or business environment

· Experience with front end technologies to include:

o Javascript/jQuery

o JSon

o HTML/ CSS

o XML

o Ajax

o session tracking

o Master Pages

· Understanding the use of classes, properties, lists and dictionaries

· Exposure to building an API and its functions and interface with multiple secure user interfaces
