Job Title          :           DB2 DBA Consultant With Netezza

Duration          :           12 Months

Location          :           Phoenix, AZ

Interview Type            :           Tele / Skype

 

Primary Skills    :    DB2 DBA with Netezza

 

Responsibilities:

·         Create and maintain database objects in Netezza such as tables, external tables, views, stored procedures

·         Build and Configure database instances including database security and disaster recovery

·         Design/Implement backup and recovery solutions Performance tuning of instance, database, and SQL queries

·         Design and administer tables for performance

·         Find bottlenecks in Linux/network/Windows server performance pertaining to database scope

·         Work with application teams to troubleshoot query and system performance issues

·         Netezza databases Implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes

·         Resolve database performance issues and other

 

Expertise in one or more of the following:

·         Experience in 7+ years of Database Administration, 3+ years in Netezza 6.0

·         Expertise in writing shell scripts and Perl scripts and debugging existing scripts for Netezza

·         Expertise in OS and SAN storage concepts and utilities like bulk loader, numerate, stats, groom

·         Expertise in analyzing/reviewing query plans, problem determination in Netezza

·         Expertise in writing Stored procedures in Netezza

·         Expertise in configuring and reviewing Query History

·         Expertise in Workload Management, Cross Database Access, NZ Event Processing

·         Expertise in DB2 database administration preferred but not required
