Role: Java Developer 

Location: Richfield, MN

Duration: 1 Year+

 

 

Description:

Java developer required for coding and Implementation for a back end data processing application.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·      Prepare detailed design documentation from requirements and interface specification that conform to application architecture and design guidelines

·      Ability to follow defined design patterns

·      Perform unit testing of the code

·      Perform developer integration testing with other code modules/external system interfaces

·      Support QA testing and fix defects

·      Provide documentation required for transitioning development to support teams

·      Work with BA's and the Solution Architect to understand business requirements solution architecture and translate those into new applications, as well as developing

 

Required Skills and/or Experience:

·         4+ years' experience in Java , J2EE, Hibernate, and Struts related platform development

·         Experience with Java development for data-intensive and batch processing applications using Oracle databases

·         Oracle PL-SQL development skills

·         Interface development experience, including working with Web services, WSDL and XSD preferably with Weblogic and Axis APIs

·         Wicket framework experience.

·         Solid understanding of XML/XSD/WSDL specifications

·         Need excellent scores with Sun Java Programmers Certification exam or Brain bench Java programmers certification exam

 

Personality Attributes/soft skills:

·         Self-assured, confident and self-directed

·         Ability to communicate effectively with team members, including QA and BA resources

·         Articulate team player

                                                                                                                                        

Nice to Have Skills:

·         Experience developing POS or retail systems, or integrating with packaged retail software systems

·         Retail and/or Telecom environment experience

·         Development using JUnit unit test framework, or similar

·         Background working on Agile development teams

·         Strong presentation skills (e.g. comfortable performing regular demos of system functionality for business stakeholders)
