QA Engineer
Job Description
Design and implement test systems to support web services and tools conform to functional and design specifications. This includes test design, planning, and execution with an emphasis on the automation of test cases, functional verification and load/stress verification. Coordinate and team with various development groups to report, track, and facilitate the isolation and resolution of test failures in a timely manner. May also include participation in the development or evaluation of test tools, assisting with maintenance of test networks and test lab, test strategy development, partnering to coordinate testing, determination of stress and performance objectives and contributing to project plan prior to formal project start (e.g. sizing evaluations, including resources, schedules and equipment needs/costs, etc.)
Quickly comes up to speed in understanding of advanced concepts/methodology and contributes to improving and extending the impact and effectiveness of those concepts or new approaches to the current project.
Skills required
Opportunity requires a BSEE/CS or equivalent with a minimum of 4-6 years experience in Webservices devtest and/or a test and verification environment. Candidate must have hands-on test lab experience configuring lab equipment, creating test plans and executing test cases to verify product technical requirements and operation.
TCP/IP and/or other networking knowledge and networking test tools is essential. Knowledge of mobile client/server test is beneficial. Candidate must have experience and knowledge with webservices. Automation test development, execution and in depth skills in one or more of the following: Tcl, Expect, 4Test, ATS/Easy and eARMS.
